Cindy Cindy Irvine

Cindy Irvine began her Iyengar Yoga practice in 1995 when a yoga instructor who shared an office building with her commented on how stressed she looked.  Cindy walked by the studio each day on her way to her job as a librarian for the authors of "Our Bodies, Ourselves,” a women’s health reference book.

When Cindy finally took up the teacher's challenge to do yoga, she felt better, and then she started teaching yoga herself in 2000.

Today, she is a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor who finds the practice an invaluable tool for physical and emotional health. Cindy feels that growing up in Hawaii had a mellowing influence on her personality, and this is reflected in her teaching style, which combines precision, love and laughter.
